One of her defining life experiences was embarking on a 1,000-mile Appalachian Trail hike for a honeymoon, an adventure that left an indelible mark and instilled a deep appreciation for nature’s beauty.

A passionate advocate for family, Denise enjoys spending quality time with her daughters and nurturing their close-knit bonds. She also has a strong passion for gardening, landscaping, furniture refinishing, and camping, often sharing these interests with her husband and their dogs.

Denise holds a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from Shippensburg University, a foundation that fueled her early career in the mental health field. Throughout Denise’s professional journey, she provided unwavering support to individuals struggling with drug and alcohol issues, codependency, and chronic mental illness.

In 2009, Denise expanded her horizons by becoming a Registered Nurse (RN). She worked in various healthcare settings, including the Emergency Department, Cardiac units, and ICU stepdown units, gaining invaluable experience, and honing her nursing skills.

In 2018, Denise achieved a significant milestone by becoming a Nurse Practitioner (NP) with a specialization in Hematology and Oncology. In this role, she has combined her passion for healthcare with her dedication to making a meaningful difference in the lives of patients facing challenging medical journeys.

A staunch believer in patient advocacy, Denise is deeply committed to ensuring that patients are not only heard but also actively engaged as partners in their healthcare decisions. She finds great purpose in serving others, embodying a commitment to compassionate, patient-centered care.
